About Us

My name is Angela, I'm the mom of 8 ( 6 girls, 2 boys ) and the grandmother to 2 ( 1 girl, 1 boy ). We live in Somersworth, NH - which is about 20 minutes from Portsmouth which is right in the heart of the NH seacoast. We have a great dog named Phoenix that we adopted from Greenville County Animal Care Services in 2009- or was it early 2010? I barely remember the current year so your guess is as good as mine. We all happen to be animal lovers and are especially attached to dogs.  I am a stay at home mom, so that I may take care of my oldest daughter Brittany, who has Juvenile Onset Alexander Disease , as well as my two youngest and Brittany's two children. I would adopt and save as many dogs as possible if I had the room and financial means to do so. Being that we don't have the resources, we are committed to fostering as many as we can ( one at a time - maybe two, if the rescue is agreeable! )and helping along the way, any way we can. To that end, Ive decided to begin this blog and chronicle our fostering journey and promote fostering and adoption as much as we can.

Check back soon - I hope to have a bio up of all the little members of my family =)

If you are a rescue organization that would like to feature dogs here, please feel free to contact me at angela.laroche@yahoo.com
If you are a family or person interested in fostering or adoption that is simply curious about another families experiences, follow us and always feel free to email and ask questions. I promise to pull no punches and will be reporting the bad right along with the good here.So far - not bad to report. The only bad I'm anticipating is when our first foster pup, Nathan is finally sent to live in his forever family. He's a great boy and has contributed to the happiness of this chaotic household. We look forward to helping find homes for a lot of "Nathans" out there...follow our journey and maybe you'll learn you can help, too!
